In ten years of visiting opticians, I have made lots of expensive mistakes and never felt happy with any of my eye-wear choices. For the first time ever, I absolutely LOVE the glasses I’ve bought because they make me feel like ME! From the offer of tea or coffee on arrival, through the eye test to choosing the style of my first pair of glasses; and then discovering similar tastes in music which took our conversation in different directions! I’m delighted with my glasses and the care and service from the whole team throughout has been exceptional.

Highly professional and also very honest!!! Great experience, especially because, he and the team ,actually dedicates time only for you so you have the time to choose select the pair in a relaxed environment… Travel from Glasgow as they have some exclusive and exquisite frames such as the Masunaga I was after. I went there and try quite a few pairs, although, I ask if we could order some more to try and he agreed with no issues and no deposit. So he order for me 3 more frames and eventually when they did arrive we found the right pair :) The same day I also did the eye exam, again very professional and Claudine made the experience very pleasant. And the most important, Lenses: Robert patiently and truthfully explained the whole range and options he can have and the one he suggests depending on the prescription. He stock Rodenstock, Hoya and Seiko but I could also had other manufacturer I end up with 2 pairs due to a promotions and I’m very happy with both of them!!!

I had been looking for something different for a while but nothing in the big chains hit the spot. An advert for Robert Callander caught my eye and that, coupled with a recently renewed frustration with my ‘not quite right varifocals’, persuaded me to pop in. I’m so pleased I did. Their passion to get the frames, the prescription and the fitting absolutely perfect was evident from the start. They correctly identified my frustration with my current lenses, ‘got’ my personality and found me the perfect frame and booked me in for a test, accommodating my work travel challenges. Two weeks later I went in for the fitting. Robert means it when he says he’s a perfectionist. For the first time in a decade I put a pair of glasses on that worked, properly. I was stunned. I travel a lot, I host events and speak to large and small crowds and I need my glasses to work at a desk, in a small workshop and in a larger auditorium, being able to switch between screen, notes and faces. These are perfect. Thank you Robert and team.
