Their service is also second to none: professional, attentive to detail, and completely tailored to your individual needs. From start to finish, the experience feels premium and reassuring. For me, they’ll now be the only optician I visit. The price is absolutely worth it for the quality, service, and peace of mind.

I have been a customer with Robert Callander for many years and have always found the service they provide to be excellent. Recently, I made the switch to varifocals which I was initially unsure about. However, their expert advice and help in choosing the right frames and lenses made the whole experience seamless. The adjustment to varifocals was made easy. I would definitely recommend them as a great optician.

I had my eyes tested at another local optician, and I wasn’t too impressed with their frame choices. After making excuses to come back the next day, I headed home down the High Street. As I was passing by Robert Callander, I decided to pop in and see if I could find anything I liked. As soon as I walked in, I could tell this optician was a different kind of place. The warm, friendly welcome and the tastefully arranged display of stylish frames on the walls made me feel right at home. I told Emily at the desk about my situation, and even though it was the end of the day, she said Robert would see me for a quick chat once he finished with his current appointment. I could sit down and enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee while I waited. When I spoke to Robert, he explained their approach. After I told him what I was looking for and my preferences, he and Emily picked out several styles of frames for me to try. When I had each of them on, they explained why certain pairs suited me, or not. The individual attention I got was brilliant, and Robert and Emily were very generous with their advice and expertise. I made a follow-up appointment and selected a fantastic pair of well-crafted and stylish frames that are honestly the best I’ve ever had in over forty-five years of wearing specs. Buying glasses from Robert Callander was an enjoyable experience and the customer service was second to none. I was made to feel like a valued customer who deserved a pair of glasses that would make me feel good and look great. And it was fun too—I’ve never had a new pair of specs presented to me in a silver cloche before! I’ll definitely be back the next time I need my eyes checked.

From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew this was where I was meant to be. First class, bespoke, service throughout! With all the state of the art, modern equipment, it really is much more than your average eye test, definitely more of an experience. Collecting my glasses was yet another experience, on a different level. Highly recommend this fantastic company. I will definitely be a returning client for many years!!

Customer service, optical expertise and product knowledge from Robert and all staff is second to none. So friendly and helpful in finding the perfect frames and technical specifications to suit each individual customer. It can be quite a big thing choosing a new look and RC Eyewear take you through every step of the process with patience, logic and stylistic flair. :) Excellent small family business.
